Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN/LVN license in Ohio.
• Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in educational environments.
• Proficiency in NG tube feeding, medication administration, and suctioning techniques.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and healthcare providers.
• CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care for one elementary student, including riding the bus with the student in the mornings and afternoons (approximately 7-hour shift, 5 days per week).
• Monitor and manage specialized healthcare needs, including NG tube feedings, administering medications, and performing suctioning as needed.
• Document all care provided and communicate health updates to school staff and parents/guardians.
• Act as a health advocate for the student within the school environment, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Respond calmly and efficiently to any health emergencies or changes in the student’s condition.
• Support inclusion by assisting the student in accessing educational activities safely.
