Job summary

Advocates Incorporated in Cayuga, NY seeks a dedicated Mentor (DSP) to support an active young woman with a developmental disability. You will help her work on goals at home and in the community, including health and fitness, social skills, and independent living tasks.

The role emphasizes reliability, creativity, and flexibility. Hours currently run Monday–Tuesday 10am–3pm and Wednesday–Thursday 4pm–8pm, with possible full-time opportunities.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and daily time logging skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with health and fitness activities, including gym sessions and walking.
• Support independent living tasks such as grocery shopping, cooking and personal care.
• Help the individual participate in volunteer work and community activities.
• Document daily activities and log time and mileage accurately.
