Job summary

Advocates Incorporated is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Mentor/DSP/1:1) to assist a bright young man with a developmental disability in home and community settings. The role focuses on health/fitness, social skills, and independent living tasks, with some personal care support as needed.

The DSP will document daily time and mileage, adhere to agency guidelines, and collaborate with families. Hours are Weekdays 9 AM – 4 PM; full-time opportunities may be available, with a competitive

Qualifications

• Must have keen attention to detail when logging daily time, mileage, and service documentation.
• Experience working 1:1 with individuals with disabilities preferred but not required.

• Basic reading, writing, and problem-solving skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Support Professional services 1:1 in home and community settings.
• Assist with health and fitness activities (gym, swimming, walking, sports) and social skills.
• Support independent living tasks (grocery shopping, cooking, personal care).
• Participate in volunteer work and community activities.
• Maintain accurate time and service documentation and logs.
