Job summary

Advocates Incorporated is seeking a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to assist a gentleman with a developmental disability in achieving personal goals at home and in the community. Activities include health and fitness, community classes, and independent living skills such as grocery shopping and cooking.

The role requires reliability, enthusiasm, creativity, and an active approach. Full-time opportunities may be available, with pay at $21 per hour for direct support and $16 per hour for indirect

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day's time, mileage, and service documentation.
• Must have a valid email address.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance if required for the job.
• Must demonstrate sound decision-making skills.
• Must demonstrate understanding for the Agency mission and ability to read and write correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Support goals at home and in the community to help the individual live as independently as possible.
• Assist with health and fitness activities, shopping, cooking, and household tasks.
• Document daily activities, time, and mileage accurately for reporting.
