Job summary

Advocates Incorporated in Fayetteville, NY seeks a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to help a male with a developmental disability pursue health, social, and independent living goals. You’ll introduce him to new activities, assist with volunteering, and support community connections.

The role requires reliability, creativity, and active engagement. Hours are Mon, Wed, Fri 9 AM–3 PM, with potential full-time opportunities. Must have a valid email and driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Experience working 1:1 with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Must have a valid email address.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance if required for the job.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and write correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Assist the individual with goals in health, social, and independent living.
• Support 1:1 in community activities and volunteering.
• Accurately log time, mileage, and service documentation daily.
• Identify new activities and opportunities in the community.
