Job summary

Redka Behavior Services is seeking dedicated individuals for the Behavioral Health Technician role at the Autism center in Williamsport, PA. You will work one-on-one with children aged 2–6 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder as part of a larger treatment team, receiving training before independent work.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or higher; preferred RBT/BCaBA certification and experience in behavioral health. Clearances and a valid license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or BCaBA certification.
• Preferred: experience with children or in behavioral health.
• Must be able to obtain Act 33/Criminal History and FBI clearances; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a child aged 2–6 years with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• Follow treatment plans to build communication and independence while reducing challenging behaviors.
• Engage in play, art, music, sensory activities, and group activities with your client.
• Table work teaching sessions to build skills for school and daily living.
• Track data and write daily progress notes.
• Meet weekly with BHT Supervisor to discuss treatment and ABA therapy.
• New hire training and ongoing education through provided opportunities.

Redka Behavior Services is a Behavioral Health (IBHS) provider in Williamsport, PA. RBS implements ABA treatment in a clinic environment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages 2-6 years old. RBS is looking for dedicated, passionate individuals to work at the Autism center in the Behavioral Health Technician role. BHTs will work directly with children at the center as part of a larger treatment team. Responsibilities

Work one-on-one throughout the day with a child aged 2-6 years old with Autism Spectrum Disorder

Follow treatment plan interventions to build communication and independence skills while putting strategies in place for behaviors for decrease

Play! Engage in fun activities with your assigned client as part of a larger group including play, art and music, sensory activities, and more.

Table work teaching sessions to increase skills and learning to prepare clients to attend school or function in their natural environments

Track data and write daily progress note about client’s day at the center

Meet weekly with BHT Supervisor to discuss client’s treatment and learn more about ABA therapy

New hire training and continuing education through provided training opportunities

Required education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; or Associate’s Degree; or Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Certification: Registered Behavior Technician or BCaBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board

Preferred Experience working with children or in a behavioral health field

Required: Ability to obtain Act 33 clearances, Criminal History and FBI Act 73 clearance; valid driver's license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing.

Must be able to lift, carry, bend, squat, crawl, reach, and kneel using good body mechanics for sustained periods of time.

Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this job can be fully met.

Must possess the physical abilities or prosthetics that will enable the physical ability to function adequately so that the demands of this job can be fully met.

Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with possible mental, emotional, and physical stresses of this position.
