Qualifications

ATC has immediate opening for a Radar Technician in the greater Virginia / D.C. area. (Chesapeake, MD)
Successful candidates will perform systems level operation and monitoring of receiver site equipment. Performs organizational, preventative and intermediate level maintenance on radar and communications equipment, consisting of Commercial Maritime Navigational Radars, RF Hardware, Digital Hardware, Microprocessors, Minicomputers and peripheral equipment. Work includes occasional travel to other customer sites around the globe to install specific systems for test events, operate them during the event, and ship them back after the event. Responsibilities include managing multiple customer projects and executing tasks on schedule, as well as supervising one mid-grade radar technician on site.
Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Minimum 10 years' experience with commercial maritime navigational radars; specifically in installation, repair and operations.
Network expertise in Fiberoptic, Ethernet, and Rack installation.
Desired Skills:
COMSEC Experience, Network Engineering experience & Program Management experience.
Required Education:
Successful graduation in Electronic or Electrical Engineering Technology from technical institute above high school with a minimum curriculum length of two years or Military Technical School with minimum curriculum length of six months.
