Job summary

BakeMark is hiring a Production Worker to operate in a fast-paced bakery facility, handling manufacturing, packaging, and labeling of bakery ingredients and products. You will ensure accurate weights, proper labeling, and maintain cleanliness per 5S standards.

The role emphasizes following safety procedures, documenting processes, and supporting quality systems while contributing to a team dedicated to quality and efficiency in a long-standing baking industry leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or food production is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Fill, pull and package product into clean containers with correct weight and date code.
• Load and label pallets correctly.
• Maintain cleanliness online and 5S standards in the shift.
• Follow safety procedures and report injuries or unsafe conditions.

Summary: The Production Worker is responsible for manufacturing, packaging, and handling bakery ingredients and products in a fast-paced warehouse or production facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fill, pull and package product into clean containers, at the proper weight and label and date code correctly. Load and label pallets correctly.
• Distinguish acceptable product from unacceptable product.
• Start up and shut down operations for line.
• Documenting all required paperwork such as Batch Sheets.
• Limit down time and use time to prepare for more product or to pack and clean line. Downtime that is the result of mechanical failure, missing packaging, etc. should be reported to the lead or supervisor immediately.
• Maintain cleanliness online and 5S standards. Equipment and work areas must be kept organized, clean and sanitary throughout the shift. End of shift requires removal of any waste and garbage generated during the shift. Ensure proper care of equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training. Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person. Report any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
• Support, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs.
• Support and comply with GMP’s.
• Participate in PPI initiatives.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or food production experience preferred
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Basic math skills for measuring and weighing ingredients
