GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

In this challenging role, you will be supporting the MLT-Medical Laboratory Tech department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following.
The Medical Laboratory Technician faculty is to assist students to acquire knowledge, psychomotor skills and affective skills necessary in preparation for taking the national registry exam and practicing as an entry level practitioner in Medical Laboratory Technology. Primary responsibilities will include classroom/laboratory instruction, clinical supervision, and evaluation/preparation of the curriculum. Other duties as assigned include, but are not limited to, student recruitment, advising and retention, clinical site identification, participating on college/school/department committees and/or teams, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor degree with a major in medical lab technology; credentialed by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT); demonstrated competencies in the discipline.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have an in depth knowledge of Medical Laboratory Technology with a minimum of 3 years work experience. Must have a bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science and hold a credential MLS (ASCP or AMT). 3 years teaching experience preferred. Experience in microbiology preferred.
