Job summary

Aberdeen Studio in Nashville, TN seeks an experienced Production & Scheduling Manager to oversee daily planning for a cabinet/millwork shop. You will optimize layouts, balance capacity with orders, and drive on-time delivery while mentoring shop staff.

Responsibilities include tracking status from drawings to delivery, working with installers on lead times, and leading continuous improvement, safety, and cost control initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing a cabinet, millwork, or woodworking production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of cabinet construction methods, materials, and hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and cut lists.
• Proficient with scheduling tools, spreadsheets, and basic job costing.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience with cabinet design or production software (e.g., Cabinet Vision, Mozaik, or similar).
• Familiarity with CNC operation and programming.
• Background in lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification

• Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure on‑time delivery of materials
• Review purchase orders and reconcile against project budgets

Production & Scheduling

Track job status from shop drawings through delivery and flag delays early

Coordinate with installers to ensure site readiness and accurate lead times communicated to clients

Reporting & Communication

Provide ownership with weekly production and capacity reports

Serve as the primary point of contact for shop‑floor issues escalated from team members

Liaise with sales and design staff to align customer expectations with production capacity
