Job summary

Prosper seeks an experienced Custom Cabinet Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of our cabinet shop, manage production workflow, and ensure high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will lead a team while balancing production schedules, quality control, and profitability.

The role requires hands-on cabinetry knowledge, strong leadership, and collaboration with designers, sales staff and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cabinetry or woodworking experience, including custom cabinetry.
• Proven experience with stock cabinet lines and installation coordination.
• Prior management or supervisory experience in a cabinet shop or similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the cabinet shop, including production scheduling and workflow.
• Oversee custom cabinetry projects from design review through fabrication and installation.
• Manage ordering, handling, and integration of stock cabinet lines alongside custom work.
• Lead, train, and supervise shop staff, installers, and subcontractors as needed.
• Ensure quality control standards are met for both custom and stock cabinetry.
• Coordinate with designers, sales staff, and clients to meet project specifications and deadlines.
• Monitor materials, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Enforce shop safety standards and best practices.
• Assist with estimating, job costing, and process improvements to improve efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the cabinet shop, including production scheduling and workflow
• Oversee custom cabinetry projects from design review through fabrication and installation
• Manage ordering, handling, and integration of stock cabinet lines alongside custom work
• Lead, train, and supervise shop staff, installers, and subcontractors as needed
• Ensure quality control standards are met for both custom and stock cabinetry

• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and specifications
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and quality

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CNC equipment and/or cabinet design software
• Knowledge of installation practices and field coordination
• Familiarity with job costing and production efficiency metrics
