Job Title: Commercial Journeyman Electrician

A Commercial Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems in commercial buildings. Key tasks include wiring, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

1. Execute electrical wiring plans to ensure proper lighting, alarm, and other electrical systems functionality.
2. Review circuit diagrams, outlets, load centers, and panel boards.
3. Follow all applicable building codes during installation and inspections.
4. Install electrical fixtures and complete electrical systems.
5. Set up safety and distribution components such as switches, resistors, and circuit-breaker panels.
6. Connect wiring in circuits and networks, ensuring component compatibility.
7. Assemble conduit systems.
8. Collaborate with engineers and technicians during installations.
9. Inspect and replace old wiring to prevent system failures.
10. Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair or replace damaged units.
