Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a maintenance technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy mobile equipment used in quarry and aggregate operations in Somerset, Kentucky. You will perform preventive maintenance on trucks, loaders, excavators, dozers, and related machinery to maximize reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and diesel-powered mobile equipment systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the capability to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and equipment inspection procedures.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced quarry environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
• Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
