Job summary

ebebek is seeking an experienced Accounting Executive to oversee end-to-end accounting for our UK and Iraq operations, ensuring compliance with local laws and accurate financial records.

You will manage reconciliations with group companies and external vendors, lead accounting digitalization, support VAT declarations, and coordinate monthly closings using the Uniform Chart of Accounts and SAP, while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of professional accounting experience.
• Proficient in SAP Accounting System and capable of using it effectively.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and the Uniform Chart of Accounts.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Team-oriented, with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing all accounting processes end-to-end for UK and Iraq operations.
• Entering and controlling accounting records in accordance with the chart of accounts.
• Preparing and following up on finance/accounting files.
• Managing customer and supplier reconciliations with group companies and external suppliers.
• Following up on day-to-day accounting activities.
• Supporting the preparation of monthly VAT declarations in accordance with applicable legislation.
• Leading and completing accounting digitalization processes.
• Managing relationships with external consultants in foreign countries.
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements in relevant countries.
• Supporting monthly and annual closing processes, including depreciation, valuation, accruals, and trial balance controls.
• Preparing and coordinating payment lists.

Job Description
