Job summary

Tongues Translation Services LLC is seeking a Caption Translator who is a native Turkish speaker to join our freelance project team. You will translate captions and subtitles, perform MTPE, and support localization across media and software.

Requirements include a bachelor's in communications or linguistics, at least four years of translation experience, proficiency with translation management software, and fluent command of Turkish plus another target language.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications or linguistics.
• Minimum four years experience in the translation field.
• Proficiency in Translation Management System tools and software.
• Knowledge of the translation process, terminology, and localization techniques.
• Familiarity with localization guidelines and standards.
• Ability to convert written materials into a second language.
• Excellent translation, writing, and communication skills.
• Fluency in at least two of the target languages.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Additional certification in Linguistics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Translate captions/subtitles within content for various media.
• Perform MTPE and cultural localization to maintain meaning.
• Maintain translation databases and use Translation Management Software.
• Provide quality assurance for translation workflows.
• Collaborate with other departments and translators to ensure consistency.
• Meet deadlines for project milestones and deliverables.
