Job summary

REED Turkey is seeking a Transportation Manager to lead end-to-end inbound and outbound transportation nationwide. You will balance service levels with cost efficiency, optimize routes, monitor OTIF and delivery performance, and manage fleet capacity.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in multi-site distribution, strong 3PL and supplier management, knowledge of GDP/regulatory requirements, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in multi-site, high-volume, fast-paced distribution operations.
• Strong background in outsourced and hybrid transportation models.
• Knowledge of network design and scenario modeling.
• Experience in 3PL/supplier management and cost control.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end inbound and outbound transportation operations across the country.
• Ensure optimal balance between service level, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
• Plan and oversee daily transportation activities (vehicle allocation, route optimization).
• Monitor and improve delivery performance (OTIF, lead time adherence).
• Analyze fleet capacity and utilization to drive efficiency improvements.
• Manage operational disruptions (delays, breakdowns, capacity issues).
• Lead 3PL and transportation supplier selection, contracting, and performance management.
• Track and improve supplier performance through SLAs and KPIs.
• Manage transportation budget and drive cost optimization initiatives.
• Lead route optimization and continuous improvement projects.
• Drive adoption of transportation technologies (GPS, telematics).
• Ensure compliance with GDP and local regulatory requirements (MoH, TİTCK).
• Develop KPI frameworks, reporting systems, and dashboards (Power BI).
• Provide regular performance insights and executive summaries to senior management.
• Lead and develop transportation teams while coordinating cross-functional stakeholders.
