Job summary

Paribu is seeking a Trading Reliability Technical Support Engineer in Istanbul to ensure high-availability and robust performance of trading systems. You will coordinate upgrades, manage incidents, and work with Backoffice and Analysts on new products and instruments.

You will leverage strong capital markets knowledge, SQL, and monitoring tools to optimize performance, reliability, and communications with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of capital markets, order types, trading sessions, and derivatives dynamics.
• Familiarity with trading protocols like FIX and BISTECH.
• Strong SQL skills and database performance knowledge (SQL Server preferred).
• Experience with log analysis and service management across Linux/Windows environments.
• Good networking knowledge and troubleshooting basics.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/OpenSearch, Zabbix).
• Clear, structured communication with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to stay calm and methodical during time‑critical incidents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, test, and coordinate upgrades and releases of vendor solutions for BIST order execution.
• Lead incident management through RCA, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination.
• Create and run UAT scenarios for new products and instruments; support Backoffice and Analysts.
• Perform database checks and monitor performance indicators (indexes, locks, I/O, flows).
• Monitor critical trading processes, batch jobs, and system integrations for reliability.
• Improve monitoring dashboards and alerts for availability, latency, throughput, and other metrics.
• Support technology operations and integrations across brokerage platforms and market infrastructure.
• Maintain clear documentation of configurations and procedures.

• Planning, testing, and coordinating version upgrades and production releases of vendor solutions supporting BIST order execution
• Managing incidents through log analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), technical troubleshooting, and vendor coordination
• Creating and executing UAT scenarios for new products and instruments, while supporting Backoffice and Analyst teams
• Performing database checks and monitoring performance indicators such as indexes, locks, I/O, and transaction flows
• Monitoring critical trading processes, batch jobs, and system integrations to ensure reliable operations
• Improving monitoring dashboards and alerts across availability, latency, throughput, and other critical system metrics
• Supporting technology operations and integrations across brokerage platforms and market infrastructure
• Maintaining clear documentation of system configurations, operational processes, and technical procedures

Key competencies

• Familiarity with BISTECH, FIX, or similar trading and order communication protocols
• Strong SQL skills, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server, and understanding of database performance and monitoring concepts
• Experience with log analysis and service management across Linux and Windows environments
• Understanding of fundamental networking and troubleshooting concepts
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/OpenSearch, or Zabbix
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm and methodical when handling time-critical production incidents
• Clear and structured communication skills with the ability to manage both vendors and internal stakeholders
• Effective prioritization and decision-making in high-volume operational environments
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with technology, operations, Backoffice, and business teams
• Technical English proficiency for vendor communication and documentation
• Experience with drop copy, market data, OMS, or Backoffice integrations is considered a plus
• Familiarity with SPK, Takasbank, MKK, and brokerage operations is considered a plus
• Experience with brokerage technologies such as Tradesoft, GTP, or Xfront is considered a plus
