Job summary

Intertech Information Technology and Marketing Inc. is seeking a seasoned Quality Engineering Leader to define and drive state-of-the-art QA practices.

You will build and mentor a team of test automation engineers, design comprehensive automation platforms (API, UI, contract, performance, security) and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines with clear quality gates. You will lead efforts to reduce long regression cycles through risk-based selection, parallelization and automation, while tracking

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software quality and test engineering, incl. 4+ years leading test automation teams for complex enterprise or banking systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Hands-on expertise with automation frameworks and tools for API/UI testing (Playwright, Selenium, RestAssured, Postman, Karate).
• Strong programming skills in C# or Java and experience automating within .NET ecosystems.
• Experience integrating automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
• Solid understanding of test data management, environment management and non-functional testing for transaction-heavy systems.
• Track record of driving cultural change toward engineering-owned quality.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the quality engineering strategy: test pyramid, automation coverage targets, environment strategy, data management and shift-left practices.
• Build and lead a team of test automation engineers and quality coaches; set standards and career paths.
• Design and deliver the test automation platform and frameworks (API, UI, contract, performance, security) integrated into CI/CD with quality gates.
• Reduce long-running manual regression cycles via risk-based test selection, parallelization and automation; measure cycle time and defect leakage.
• Own quality metrics and reporting for management: coverage, flakiness, defect leakage, MTTR and release readiness.
• Collaborate with Architecture, Release Management and Platform teams on environments, feature flags, versioning and rollback for safe CD.
• Evaluate and introduce tooling, including AI-assisted test generation and maintenance for productivity gains.
• Banking/financial services testing experience including regulatory/audit evidence considerations.
• Experience testing microservices alongside legacy systems and managing release dependencies.
• Experience with observability-driven quality and AI-assisted testing tools.
• ISTQB Advanced or Expert level certification.

• Track record of driving cultural change: moving organizations from manual, late‑stage testing to engineering‑owned quality.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver the test automation platform and frameworks (API, UI, contract, performance, security testing) integrated into CI/CD pipelines with clear quality gates.
• Drive the reduction of long‑running manual regression cycles through risk‑based test selection, parallelization and automation, and measure the outcome in cycle time and defect escape rate.
• Own quality metrics and reporting for management: coverage, flakiness, defect leakage, mean time to detect and release readiness; make quality visible and actionable.
• Work with Architecture, Release Management and Platform teams on environment provisioning, feature flags, versioning and rollback practices that make continuous delivery safe.
• Evaluate and introduce tooling, including AI‑assisted test generation and maintenance, where it delivers measurable productivity gains.
• Banking or financial services experience, including regulatory and audit expectations for testing evidence.
• Experience testing microservices alongside legacy monolithic systems and managing their release dependencies.
• Experience with observability‑driven quality (synthetic monitoring, production testing) and with AI‑assisted testing tools.
• ISTQB Advanced or Expert level certification.
