Mod Offshore is seeking a Technical Office and Planning Engineer for SPS projects in offshore drilling operations. You will collect, analyze, and present project data to ensure accurate reporting to management and stakeholders, supporting project success across offshore and onshore phases.

Qualifications

We are seeking a Technical Office and Planning Engineer to support project reporting, performance monitoring, and data analytics activities across our offshore and construction operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and presenting project data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to management and stakeholders. Position: Technical Office and Planning Engineer (SPS)

Project: Special Periodical Survey (SPS) – Offshore Drilling Unit

Location: Offshore / Onshore (as required)

Reporting Line: Reports functionally to the Project Manager and Sr. Planning Specialist – Mod Offshore and operationally to Client-side Project Managers (TP-OTC)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Project Reports – Daily Report, Weekly Report.
• Support schedule monitoring and progress tracking with Sr. Planning Specialist.
• Concatenate data from multiple disciplines and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Establish reporting templates, standards, and best practices
• Ensure timely and effective communication of project performance and reporting results

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Offshore, Marine, or related discipline)
• Experience in reporting, project controls, planning, or similar functions
• Candidates with varying levels of experience will be considered, provided they demonstrate strong technical capability and the ability to manage reporting activities independently
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, VBA/Macros
• Good understanding of construction workflows, offshore operations, and project lifecycles
• Knowledge of progress measurement, project reporting, and performance tracking
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in offshore drilling projects and SPS scope
• Strong understanding of project management: WBS, SOW, risk management, and reporting
• Ability to work effectively in dynamic offshore project environments
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to interface directly with rig teams and client representatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in offshore, oil & gas, marine, EPC, shipbuilding, or large-scale construction projects
• Knowledge with CMMS systems
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Power Automate, SQL, SharePoint, or other business intelligence tools.
