Job summary

EY in İstanbul is seeking Seniors to join its Global Payroll Operate Team. You will manage end-to-end Turkish payroll processes, ensure accurate salary calculations, tax reporting, and compliance with local laws.

Ideal candidates have a university degree in Accounting/Finance, at least 4 years of payroll experience, and strong Excel/Office skills; fluency in English and team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration.
• 4+ years experience in end-to-end payroll calculations.
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, Word; reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor payroll delivery timelines, service quality, and compliance requirements.
• Support payroll transition, implementation, and transformation projects.
• Preparation and control of monthly salary calculations and payrolls of employees.
• Preparation of accounting records of monthly payroll expenses according to estimated cost centers.
• Preparation of salary payment information in the format requested by banks.
• Preparation of monthly payroll summary and reports.

EY’s Integrated Global Payroll Solutions (IGPS) transforms global payrolls through a unified managed services approach, integrating domestic, mobile, and global payroll services.

EY Global Payroll Operate professionals manage and support the entire payroll process, encompassing data collection, preparation, source-to-gross calculations, statutory reporting, preparing general ledger (G/L) files, payment processing and employee communication.

We are seeking for Seniors to join our Global Payroll Operate Team in İstanbul with the following qualifications;

Your Key Responsibilities

Everything you’ll do will come back to providing exceptional service to our clients. The activities that you will carry out include:

• Monitoring payroll delivery timelines, service quality, and compliance requirements
• Supporting payroll transition, implementation, and transformation projects
• Preparation and control of monthly salary calculations and payrolls of employees
• Preparation of accounting records of monthly payroll expenses according to estimated cost centers,
• Preparation of salary payment information in the format requested by banks
• Preparation of monthly payroll summary and reports
• Annual leave tracking, calculation of leave provisions
• Calculation of severance pay provision in accordance with Turkish and International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS)
• Preparation and submission of monthly withholding income tax and premium declarations, SSI declarations
• Calculation of severance and notice pay for those leaving the job
• Informing clients about changes in the Labor Law, Social Security Law and Income Tax Law that will affect monthly payroll calculations
• Supporting clients on creation of personal files of the employees
• Completion of registration/deregistration processes of the employees via SSI portals.

What We Look For

• University degree, preferably in Accounting and Finance or Business Administration,Labor Economics and Industrial Relations
• Deep knowledge on Payroll calculations end to end payroll processes (minimum 4 years of experience)
• Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills and experienced in reporting
• Fluency in both written and spoken English
• Proven originator and team player
• Ability to work with flexible working hours
