Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. in Turkey seeks a senior tax professional to lead direct and indirect tax compliance and reporting.

You will oversee tax accounting, coordinate with external consultants and auditors, and monitor regulatory changes to ensure accurate financial statements and compliant processes. The role requires strong English, 5+ years in finance, and expertise in Turkish tax law, GAAP reporting, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of Finance experience with strong accounting and tax knowledge.
• SMMM certification preferred (or CPA/ACA).
• University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering or MBA.
• Excellent knowledge of English.
• Excellent knowledge of MS tools and ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
• Strong team and management skills; excellent communication.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage time and workload with prioritization and process simplification.

Responsibilities

• Manage all direct and indirect tax compliance processes, ensuring accurate and timely filing of statutory tax returns (corporate income tax, VAT, excise, withholding, etc.) in line with local law and PepsiCo policies.
• Oversee tax accounting and reporting local GAAP and US GAAP, including deferred tax, FIN48 positions, and hyperinflation accounting for accurate group reporting.
• Coordinate with external consultants and auditors for corporate tax certification, transfer pricing, and other statutory engagements.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess impacts, and implement necessary process or policy updates.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate tax risks with internal controls and process reviews.
• Provide documentation and support during tax audits or inspections with authorities.
• Control statutory accounting of transactions to ensure Turkish Accounting Principles compliance and maintain books.
• Coordinate tax reporting activities, including AOP forecasts, monthly closings, and group templates.
• Drive simplification, automation, and governance of tax processes.
• Provide consultancy to internal departments on tax implications for business decisions.
