Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Financial Control & Accounting Specialist in Istanbul, Türkiye, to own tax compliance and governance for Türkiye within the Legal Entity Control team. You will support month-end close, reconciliations, and statutory reporting while collaborating with cross-border teams in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

You will ensure accurate tax obligations, work with regulators and auditors, and help maintain a strong control environment in a dynamic regulatory landscape.

Qualifications

• >5 years in tax compliance/advisory and/or financial control, accounting, reporting, preferably in financial services.
• >Knowledge of Corporate Income Tax and VAT; familiarity with withholding tax, BSMV, stamp duty.
• >Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger processes.
• >Experience with IFRS and Turkish FR standards; interaction with auditors and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end tax calculation, filing/declaration, and payment processes for applicable taxes.
• Advise on tax implications of new business initiatives and corporate changes.
• Monitor regulatory tax changes in Türkiye and implement impacts.
• Manage relationships with tax authorities and support audits & inquiries.
• Partner with stakeholders to address tax, accounting and reporting impacts.
• Coordinate with external advisors and internal partners for governance and controls.
• Prepare the annual Transfer Pricing Report for the ministry and resolve related matters.
• Perform daily statutory and corporate book controls and investigate variances.
• Support month-end GL close activities and balance sheet/P&L reconciliations.
• Support IFRS and Turkish FR-based financial statements and regulatory reporting.
