Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Istanbul, Türkiye is seeking a Financial Control & Accounting Specialist to own tax compliance and governance for Türkiye. You will support month-end close, VAT, CIT, and regulatory reporting while partnering with global teams to manage tax obligations in a dynamic regulatory environment.

You will collaborate with business and finance partners to ensure accurate tax filings and strong controls, working under the Legal Entity Control team with responsibility for Türkiye.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in tax compliance/advisory and/or financial control, accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory reporting, preferably within financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Corporate Income Tax and Value Added Tax concepts and processes, with familiarity with withholding tax, BSMV, and stamp duty.
• Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger processes in a controlled environment.
• Experience with IFRS and Turkish Financial Reporting Standards.
• Experience interacting with external auditors and regulators.
• Fluency in Turkish and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end tax calculation, filing/declaration, and payment processes for applicable taxes (CIT, VAT, withholding tax, BSMV, stamp duty).
• Advise on new business initiatives and corporate changes from tax perspectives, contributing to sign-offs and approvals.
• Monitor Turkish tax changes and support implementation into reporting and controls.
• Manage or support relationships with tax authorities, audits, inquiries, and information requests.
• Collaborate with internal partners to address tax, accounting, and reporting impacts.
• Coordinate with external advisors and internal partners to deliver compliant documentation and advisory requirements.
• Prepare the annual Transfer Pricing Report for the Ministry and coordinate with tax teams.
• Support month-end close, general ledger activities, and IFRS/ Turkish standards disclosures.
• Support regulatory reporting to authorities such as BRSA and the Central Bank of Türkiye.
