Job summary

Honda Türkiye A.Ş. in Turkey seeks an experienced manufacturing engineer to manage part development related to press and forming, and to evaluate tooling and supplier capabilities. You will lead process improvements for chassis and body components and coordinate transitions from prototype to mass production.

The role emphasizes lean practices, APQP/PPAP, and strong drawing skills; English proficiency is required. Experience with localization projects is a plus and motorcycle knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy & Materials Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years experience in press / sheet metal forming and welding (MIG/MAG, spot welding).
• Experience in chassis, body, or metal part production.
• Localization project experience preferred.
• Knowledge of tooling, forming processes, and production methods.
• Strong technical drawing and tolerance-reading skills.
• Experience in tooling development.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA.
• Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Good command of English.
• Active motorcycle riding experience or interest is asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage part development processes according to press & forming requirements.
• Evaluate tooling and manufacturing processes of suppliers.
• Develop and improve local suppliers’ press capabilities.
• Analyze and solve production issues in chassis and body components.
• Contribute to fixture design, welding sequence, and process optimization.
• Ensure welding quality and feasibility from prototype to mass production.
• Coordinate prototype to mass production transition.
• Ensure manufacturability of chassis and metal components.
• Lead process improvement and optimization activities.
