Job summary

Sovos is seeking a Supervisor, SAP Consulting to lead technical implementations for a global Professional Services team, spanning EMEA and Turkey. You will leverage deep SAP expertise to deliver compliance solutions that drive real business value, while guiding clients through design, testing, go-live, and stabilisation.

You will mentor a team of SAP Solutions Consultants, apply AI-assisted workflows, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on complex deployments, always aligning with Sovos

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of SAP consultancy with SD expertise and basic FI/MM knowledge.
• Proven experience leading/mentoring consulting or technical teams; e-transformation background valued.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with AI-forward workflows.
• Excellent English communication; able to manage client expectations.
• Strong time management; capable of handling multiple projects with global teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; most work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clients' SAP configurations and prepare design/customisation docs; leverage AI tools.
• Lead product testing, address gaps, guide clients through UAT, go-live and stabilisation.
• Manage multiple complex implementations with clear rollout communications.

The Role

At Sovos, we're transforming how businesses navigate complex regulatory landscapes across the globe. As a Supervisor, SAP Consulting, you’ll lead technical implementation and provide expert guidance to our Professional Services team and clients across EMEA and Turkey, leveraging your deep SAP expertise to deliver compliance solutions that drive real business value. This role combines hands‑on technical work with team leadership, positioning you at the intersection of SAP technology, regulatory compliance, and client success.

More specifically, you will:

• Analyse clients' SAP configurations to prepare detailed design and customisation documentation, leveraging AI tools to streamline documentation and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Lead product testing, identify implementation gaps, and collaborate across teams to resolve issues whilst guiding clients through user acceptance testing (UAT), go‑live, and stabilisation phases.
• Manage multiple complex implementation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate communication during rollouts, patches, and updates.
• Lead and manage a team of SAP Solutions Consultants, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and day‑to‑day support to maximise team effectiveness.
• Provide advanced technical support to clients and internal teams, utilising strong troubleshooting skills based on extensive product and process knowledge.
• Maintain expert‑level knowledge in Sovos products, SAP modules (particularly MM, SD, and FI), governmental reporting requirements (e.g., Spain SII for VAT), and emerging technologies including AI‑assisted workflows.
• Drive continuous improvement through participation in product committees and project teams, whilst ensuring compliance with Sovos processes, systems, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in SAP consultancy with essential functional and analysis knowledge of SAP SD module and basic understanding of SAP FI and MM modules.
• Proven experience leading, managing, or mentoring consulting or technical teams in a software or professional services environment; background with e‑transformation products (e‑invoice, e‑archive, e‑ledger) is highly valued.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with comfort using AI tools to enhance workflows and decision‑making.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English, with the ability to manage client expectations and maintain high levels of client satisfaction through proactive engagement.
• Strong time management and coordination abilities with demonstrated capability to manage multiple concurrent projects whilst working both independently and collaboratively across global teams.
• Comfortable working with Fortune 500 clients and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally when required (most work is conducted remotely).
