Job summary

Supermicro invites an experienced Sr. Field Application Engineer to join a dynamic, high-velocity team. You will work with customers from ground to executive levels, map requirements to robust server and storage solutions, and drive cross‑department collaboration for timely project delivery.

You will lead Pre-Sales activities, mentor engineers, and operate across firmware, drivers, OS, and applications to ensure seamless integration. Expect travel and close partnerships with clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in engineering; CS/CE/EE preferred.
• Excellent communication and business sense required.
• Minimum 5 years related experience with Compute/Storage Server or IT Infrastructure.
• Fluency in English and Turkish required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales and extended teams to map customer requirements to optimized technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership in Pre-Sales and oversee implementation of solutions.
• Diagnose hardware/software interactions; understand firmware, drivers, OS, and applications.
• Lead HW/SW engineers during product development and field issue resolution.
• Travel up to 25% to visit on-site facilities and support customers.

Job Summary

The (Sr.) Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be part of a growing, dynamic, highly-focused team responsible for developing new or existing opportunities in the global IT market. The FAE will be required to work with customers from ground to executive-level, manage projects hand in hand with internal and external teams, and help grow the business whenever possible. Customer and solution focus, are two key factors for this position, as well as business continuity and support. The FAE must work with multiple departments to ensure new projects and existing projects are initiated or maintained towards customer requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Works closely with the sales and extended teams to map end-user customer business, partner requirements and provide most optimized technical solutions
• Provides technical leadership in Pre-Sales and oversee implementation of such solutions
• Highly technical problem solver who understands system architecture, hardware and software interaction
• Should possess basic HW debug skills
• Manage and leads product HW and SW engineers during product development
• Manage and leads teams during investigation and resolution of problems in the field
• Has a good understanding of firmware, drivers, OS, Applications and their interaction that can cause system issues
• Develop and review systems solutions, technical bid responses and presentations
• Work cross-department to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues
• Ability to build and demonstrate proof-of-concept that meets or exceeds customer business needs
• Ability to present the corporate brand, product messaging and solutions to customers
• Visit on-site facilities and operations to enable solution integration and issue resolution
• Some travel required (up to 25%)

Qualifications

• Bachelors' or Masters' degree in engineering discipline; computer science, computer engineering and electrical engineering preferred
• Excellent communication skills and business sense required
• Minimum 5 year related experience with Compute/Storage Server or Data Center or IT Infrastructure experience desired
• Strong background and experience with x86-based server architecture
• Solid HW system design and diagnostics skills
• Fluency in English and Turkish required, other languages are plus
