Pearson is seeking a Specialist, Client Partner to manage post-sale partnerships with higher education institutions in the Middle East. You will become the primary commercial partner, driving adoption, retention and revenue growth across an institutional portfolio.

You will collaborate with faculty and leaders to demonstrate value, manage renewals, and pursue opportunities beyond the current contract while traveling as needed to strengthen relationships.

Specialist, Client Partner

This is an Account Management role to work with higher education institutions across the Middle East realize the full value of Pearson’s All Access solutions.

Once an institution has entered into an All Access partnership with Pearson, you will become its primary post-sale commercial partner. You will work closely with faculty, academic leaders and other institutional stakeholders to increase adoption, expand usage and demonstrate the value and impact of the partnership.

This is a sales-focused regional account management role with accountability for customer retention, expansion and revenue growth across a portfolio of contracted institutions. You will combine strong relationship management with commercial insight, using customer engagement, usage data and institutional outcomes to strengthen partnerships and create opportunities for renewal and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the post-sale commercial relationship for a portfolio of All Access institutional customers across the Middle East
  • Develop trusted relationships with faculty, department leaders, administrators and other key institutional stakeholders
  • Drive adoption across all courses included within each institutional agreement, with a goal of achieving full operational coverage within 90 days of the start of each semester
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each institution, including its users, sponsors, decision-makers, influencers and potential barriers to renewal
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews that clearly demonstrate usage, value, outcomes and opportunities for further growth
  • Build a compelling evidence base for renewal and work in partnership with the Account Executive to secure successful renewal outcomes
  • Identify and progress opportunities to expand usage within existing agreements, including additional departments, courses and users
  • Recognize broader strategic growth opportunities and partner with the Account Executive to pursue opportunities beyond the current contract
  • Monitor account health using adoption and usage data, commercial pipeline measures, stakeholder feedback and other relevant indicators
  • Establish proactive customer engagement plans aligned with each institution’s academic calendar, including semester-start activation, mid-term reviews and pre-renewal engagement
  • Coordinate internal teams and resources to resolve issues, remove barriers and ensure customers receive value from their partnership
  • Identify competitive activity and other risks early, developing appropriate plans to protect and strengthen customer relationships
  • Maintain accurate and timely customer, opportunity and account information within Pearson’s CRM systems
  • Travel within the Middle East as required to build customer relationships and support institutional partnerships
About You

You are a commercially minded relationship builder who understands how to turn customer value into retention and sustainable growth. You are comfortable managing relationships across different countries and cultures and can build credibility with stakeholders at all levels.

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in sales, strategic account management or customer success, with a demonstrated record of delivering revenue growth, customer retention or account expansion
  • Strong knowledge of the selling process, including value positioning, opportunity development, objection handling and stakeholder influence
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with faculty, academic leaders and institutional decision-makers
  • Experience managing customers or commercial relationships across multiple countries or markets
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret customer and usage data and translate insights into commercial actions
  • Effective project coordination skills and experience working across multiple internal teams without direct authority
  • An understanding of higher education environments, institutional decision-making and academic calendar cycles across the Middle East
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to adapt your communication and approach to different institutions and markets
  • Confidence using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or OneCRM, along with a high level of data literacy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Arabic or another relevant regional language would be an advantage
  • A post-secondary qualification or equivalent professional experience
