ING Hubs Türkiye is seeking a Solution Architect Chapter Lead to shape technology strategy and lead a chapter of engineers. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure technology solutions while mentoring teams and ensuring architectural alignment across ING’s global banking network.
You will drive cloud adoption, modernization programs, and strategic roadmap planning with Product Owners and Domain Architects.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in software engineering, solution design or architecture.
- Proven experience leading technical teams in complex environments.
- Experience as Solution Architect/Lead Engineer/Technical Lead or similar.
- Strong stakeholder management across business and tech domains.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software Engineering or related field.
- Fluent English (C1+).
Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end solution architectures across multiple systems and domains.
- Lead feasibility studies and solution assessments for new initiatives.
- Drive modernization and cloud transformation programs.

At ING Hubs Türkiye, we're looking for a Solution Architect Chapter Lead who combines strong architectural thinking with leadership capabilities. Someone who enjoys shaping technology strategy, designing scalable solutions, mentoring engineers, and building high-performing teams that deliver meaningful impact across ING's international ecosystem.
This is more than an architecture role. You'll define solution directions, guide engineering teams through complex transformation initiatives, contribute to cloud and modernization programs, and help grow a chapter of talented engineers through coaching, mentoring, and capability development.
The decisions you make won't only influence a single platform—they will help shape technology solutions used across ING's global banking network.
As a Solution Architect Chapter Lead, you will play a dual role combining Solution Architecture leadership with People Leadership responsibilities.
You will work closely with Product Owners, Domain Architects, Engineering Leads, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions.
At the same time, you will lead a chapter of engineers, helping them grow professionally, strengthen engineering capabilities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and technical excellence.
You will contribute to large-scale transformation initiatives, integration architectures, API ecosystems, cloud adoption programs, and modernization efforts while ensuring teams remain aligned with ING's architectural principles and engineering standards.

- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or architecture roles
- Proven experience leading technical teams in complex environments
- Experience working as a Solution Architect, Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar role
- Strong stakeholder management experience across business and technology domains
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working in Agile organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or above)
You'll play a critical role in defining and evolving technology solutions that support ING's long-term strategy.
We are looking for leaders who can:
- Define end-to-end solution architectures across multiple systems and domains
- Lead feasibility studies and solution assessments for new initiatives
- Drive modernization and cloud transformation programs
- Define integration strategies, architectural standards, and design patterns
- Promote scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions
- Support platform evolution and technology roadmap planning
- Guide teams through architectural decision-making processes
- Bridge business goals and technology execution
Beyond architecture, you'll be responsible for growing and developing a chapter of engineers.
You will:
- Manage and coach a chapter of approximately 8–12 engineers
- Support capability development and career growth discussions
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance evaluations
- Drive hiring, onboarding, and team expansion activities
- Foster engineering excellence and continuous learning culture
- Coach engineers on architecture, design patterns, and software craftsmanship
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams

- Participate in strategic technology planning and roadmap discussions
- Support Epics and User Stories from a solution architecture perspective
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders throughout delivery
