At ING Hubs Türkiye, we are looking for a Solution Architect Chapter Lead who combines strong architectural thinking with leadership capabilities.
Role Summary
You will play a dual role combining Solution Architecture leadership with People Leadership responsibilities. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions while leading a chapter of engineers to grow professionally and deliver high‑performing results.
Work Model
Hybrid working: two days per week in Vadistanbul office during three weeks of the month, one fully remote week each month, with additional remote flexibility in August.

Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or architecture roles
- Proven experience leading technical teams in complex environments
- Experience as a Solution Architect, Lead Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar role
- Strong stakeholder management experience across business and technology domains
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
- Fluent English communication skills (C1 level or above)
Architecture, Leadership & Transformation
- Define end‑to‑end solution architectures across multiple systems and domains
- Lead feasibility studies and solution assessments for new initiatives
- Drive modernization and cloud transformation programs
- Define integration strategies, architectural standards, and design patterns
- Promote scalable, secure, and maintainable technology solutions
- Support platform evolution and technology roadmap planning
- Guide teams through architectural decision‑making processes
- Bridge business goals and technology execution
Chapter Leadership Responsibilities
- Manage and coach a chapter of approximately 8–12 engineers
- Support capability development and career growth discussions
- Conduct regular one‑on‑one meetings and performance evaluations
- Drive hiring, onboarding, and team expansion activities
- Foster engineering excellence and continuous learning culture
- Coach engineers on architecture, design patterns, and software craftsmanship
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives
- Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams
Technology & Engineering Expertise
- Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, REST, SOAP, JPA, Hibernate, TDD, unit and integration testing
- Microservices, SOA, DDD, Event‑Driven Architecture, Enterprise Integration Patterns, UML, architecture modelling, API‑First Design
- Azure Cloud Services, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
- Git, Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, source control and release management, software delivery lifecycle tooling
- Messaging and distributed systems: Kafka, JMS, ActiveMQ, IBM MQ, enterprise messaging platforms

- Support Epics and User Stories from a solution architecture perspective
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders throughout delivery
- Drive cloud adoption and modernization initiatives
- Ensure architectural governance and compliance with ING standards
- Manage chapter members and support their professional development
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career conversations
- Support hiring, onboarding, and talent growth activities
- Partner with global ING teams to deliver scalable and future‑ready solutions
