Job summary

Gülermak-YSE Joint Venture is looking for an experienced Social Lead to join the Ispartakule-Çerkezköy Railway Project team. The role requires extensive expertise in social management, stakeholder engagement and compliance with IFI standards.

You will coordinate social management activities, monitor risks, prepare reports, and liaise with authorities and stakeholders to ensure adherence to contractual and international social standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Sociology, Social Policy, Environmental/Social Sciences or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of overall professional experience.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant/similar experience in social management.
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure, railway, transportation or construction projects is highly preferred.
• Experience with IFI requirements (EBRD, EIB, World Bank, etc.) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of stakeholder engagement, grievance mechanisms, community relations, land acquisition/resettlement and social impact management processes.
• Strong reporting, coordination and communication skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of the project's social management requirements.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and community relations activities.
• Monitor social risks and impacts throughout project implementation.
• Prepare and review social monitoring reports and relevant documentation.
• Liaise with the Employer, Engineer, local authorities and other project stakeholders on social matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable contractual and international social standards.
