Job summary

Bosch is offering a practical internship opportunity for a Mechanical/Aerospace student to work on CFD simulations and related pre-development activities. You will perform simulations with Ansys Fluent, prepare CAD geometries, and contribute to reports under the guidance of design and test engineers.

The role requires a 3rd/4th year or MSc candidate with a solid background in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer, and hands-on experience with CFD software.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's (3rd/4th year) or Master's in Mechanical, Aerospace or related engineering (MSc preferred).
• Strong background in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer.
• Hands-on experience with Ansys Fluent or similar CFD software.
• Minimum 3 full days attendance required during school period.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD simulations to analyze fluid flow and thermal performance using Ansys Fluent.
• Prepare and clean CAD geometry for simulation (meshing).
• Analyze simulation results, draw conclusions, and prepare clear technical reports.
• Support pre-development activities by researching and implementing new CFD methodologies.
• Provide support for Moldflow injection molding simulations to optimize design and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design and test engineers to validate models and provide design recommendations.
• Create Python scripts for simulation tools.
• Assist the team with day-to-day simulation tasks and project documentation.

Job Description

• Perform CFD simulations to analyze fluid flow and thermal performance of components and systems using Ansys Fluent.
• Prepare and clean CAD geometry for simulation (meshing).
• Analyze simulation results, draw conclusions, and prepare clear and concise technical reports.
• Support pre-development activities by researching and implementing new CFD methodologies.
• Provide support for injection molding simulations (e.g., Moldflow) to optimize plastic part design and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design and test engineers to validate simulation models and provide design recommendations.
• Create Phyton Scripts for simulation tools
• Assist the team with day-to-day simulation tasks and project documentation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (3rd or 4th year) or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering field. (MSc Pref)
• Strong academic background in Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer.
• Hands-on experience with Ansys Fluent or a similar CFD softwares
• Minimum 3 full days attendance is required during school period
