Job summary

Basico is seeking a Senior Tax & Accounting Consultant to join our Istanbul-based CFO Services team. The role covers accounting, tax compliance and reporting for international clients, with a hybrid work model combining office, remote, and client-site work.

You will work with our Finance Manager and client finance teams, handling TR GAAP, VAT, CIT, IFRS/US GAAP, and e-invoice processes. Turkish and English fluency, ERP experience, and 3–5 years of relevant practice are required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally from an audit firm, accounting firm or the finance function of an international company
• A degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field
• Solid knowledge of TR GAAP and Turkish tax legislation
• Experience with IFRS and/or US GAAP reporting (a plus)
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) and strong Excel skills
• A structured, detail-oriented and hands-on way of working
• An SMMM licence (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping and month-end and year-end closing under TR GAAP (VUK)
• Preparing statutory financial statements and supporting the annual closing process
• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns, including VAT, withholding tax and CIT
• Managing e-invoice and e-ledger processes
• Preparing reconciliations and supporting GAAP adjustments for group reporting under IFRS/US GAAP
• Preparing group reporting packages and responding to questions from headquarters and auditors
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting client projects when needed
