Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in the Cranial & Spinal Technologies group. You will design, develop, test, and document system solutions using software and hardware, leading cross-functional teams to achieve patient-focused outcomes.

You will drive the definition of user needs, requirements, and system architecture, while guiding risk management and clinical integration efforts to improve procedural efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science and 4+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 2+ years.
• Fluent in technical English – verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and document system solutions.
• Define and develop user needs, business needs, use cases, requirements, and system architecture.
• Lead engineering analyses to optimize and select system-level concepts.
• Plan and execute user evaluations in lab-based surgical environments.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, product hazards, and failure modes.
• Provide technical leadership for software, hardware, and clinical procedure inputs.
