Job summary

ARX Türkiye, part of ARX Global, is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join the design team in Ankara or Istanbul. Carry out structural analysis and design for infrastructure and superstructure projects, coordinating with architectural, geotechnical, MEP and other disciplines.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in structural design, proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD and Revit, and strong knowledge of Turkish and international codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural design.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in design, modelling, analysis, and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Proven design experience in infrastructure and transportation projects (metro, railway, bridge, viaduct, station).
• Knowledge of Turkish codes (TDY 2018, TS 500, ÇYTHYE) and international standards (ACI, Eurocodes).
• Experience with multidisciplinary coordination and international projects is a plus.
• English proficiency for technical communication.

Responsibilities

With a growing portfolio of large-scale transportation projects, including railways, metros, tramways, bridges, viaducts, stations, and underground structures, we are looking for an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our design team in Ankara or Istanbul.

General Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in structural design, preferably within engineering consultancy or design office environments.
• At least 5 years of hands‑on experience in the design, modelling, analysis, and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Proven design experience in infrastructure and transportation projects such as metro, railway, tramway, bridge, viaduct, station, and similar structures.
• Knowledge and practical experience in the design of underground and embedded structures, including shafts, stations, entrance/exit structures, and similar structures.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Revit and structural BIM processes is considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Turkish design codes and standards, including TBDY 2018, TS 500, and ÇYTHYE, as well as international standards such as ACI and Eurocodes.
• Ability to perform structural design, analysis, and detailing in accordance with applicable national and international codes and client requirements.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination with architectural, geotechnical, MEP, infrastructure, and other engineering disciplines.
• Experience working on international projects and/or with international project teams is considered an advantage.
• Good command of English, sufficient to follow technical literature and documentation, prepare technical reports, communicate with international teams, and participate in technical meetings.
• Residing in Ankara or Istanbul, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis and design for infrastructure and superstructure projects.
• Perform the design, modelling, and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Prepare structural designs for metro, railway, tramway, bridge, viaduct, station, shaft, underground, and related transportation structures.
• Develop structural analysis models and perform engineering calculations using SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE, and other relevant software.
• Prepare and review detailed design drawings, calculation reports, technical reports, specifications, and other design documentation.
• Ensure structural designs comply with Turkish and international design standards, project specifications, and client requirements.
• Coordinate structural design interfaces with architectural, geotechnical, MEP, infrastructure, and other engineering disciplines.
• Identify and resolve technical and multidisciplinary design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support design review, optimization, and value engineering activities where required.
• Take ownership of assigned design packages and ensure technical quality, accuracy, and timely delivery.
• Contribute to technical coordination meetings with clients, partners, and multidisciplinary project teams when required.
• Strong structural engineering fundamentals and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong design office background with hands‑on engineering and project delivery experience.
• Ability to take ownership of structural design packages and make sound technical decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to design quality.
• Effective planning, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills.
