Job summary

ARX Türkiye, part of the ARX Global group, is seeking an Alignment Drafter / Junior Alignment Engineer to join the transportation and infrastructure design team in Istanbul. You will focus on alignment drafting, corridor modelling, earthworks calculations, and technical drawings for road, railway, tramway projects.

The role requires at least 3 years of Civil 3D-based design experience and strong CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience using Civil 3D and AutoCAD in infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD is essential.
• Experience in road, railway, or infrastructure projects preferred.
• Good understanding of alignment design principles and corridor modelling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare road, railway, tramway, and infrastructure design drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Develop and update alignment plans, profiles, cross-sections, and related design documentation.
• Create and maintain corridor models and surfaces.
• Perform earthworks calculations and support quantity take-off activities.
• Process survey information and integrate topographic data into models.
• Coordinate design interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure deliverables are issued accurately and on schedule.

ARX Türkiye, part of the ARX Global organization, is looking for an Alignment Drafter / Junior Alignment Engineer to join our transportation and infrastructure design team.

The successful candidate will support the development of road, railway, tramway, and infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on alignment drafting, corridor modelling, earthworks calculations, technical drawings, and project presentation deliverables. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in Civil 3D-based transportation infrastructure design and technical drafting.

General Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying Engineering, Surveying Technology, or a related discipline.


• Minimum 3 years of professional experience using Civil 3D and AutoCAD in transportation, railway, highway, or infrastructure projects.


• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD is essential.


• Experience in road, railway, tramway, or infrastructure projects is preferred.


• Good understanding of horizontal and vertical alignment design principles.


• Knowledge of corridor modelling, surface modelling, and alignment-based design workflows in Civil 3D.


• Ability to interpret and process survey data, topographic information, and existing site conditions.


• Practical knowledge of earthworks calculations, longitudinal profiles, and cross-sections.


• Familiarity with engineering drawing standards and project documentation requirements.


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality technical deliverables.


• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.


• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to teamwork.


• Basic knowledge of English sufficient to understand technical drawings and project documentation is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement design revisions received from project engineers and discipline leads.


• Prepare technical drawings, layouts, and project deliverables in accordance with company and project standards.


• Support the preparation of presentation-quality drawings and graphical project outputs.


• Coordinate drawing interfaces with roadway, railway, structures, geotechnical, drainage, and utility design teams.


• Ensure that design deliverables are issued accurately and on schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with transportation infrastructure projects, particularly road or railway developments.


• Experience in alignment, corridor, and earthworks modelling using Civil 3D.


• Experience in preparing plan, profile, and cross-section drawings.


• Familiarity with survey data processing and digital terrain modelling.


• Previous exposure to multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.


• Strong technical drafting and CAD production background.


• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while coordinating closely with engineers and other Project disciplines.
