Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is hiring a Senior Regional Medical Manager based in Izmir, Türkiye. The role drives medical goals and tactical execution in the territory, providing scientific information to healthcare professionals to support strategy and decision making.

You will build relationships with key opinion leaders in specialty and rare diseases, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with local laws and company SOPs. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine/MD required.
• 3 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical company; 2+ years’ experience in the Medical function.
• Strong English language capabilities may be required or preferred.

• Planning and execution of Stakeholder/external experts’ development and engagement plans.
• Build and maintain medical/scientific expertise for the respective product and therapeutic area.
• Management and dissemination of scientific knowledge for external and internal stakeholders.
• Share and generate insights from external experts with cross‑functional teams to inform strategy and decision making.
• Facilitate advisory boards and conduct round‑table discussions and peer‑to‑peer communication.
• Provide medical training and updates for the assigned therapy area to the internal field force and brand team, as required.
• Knowledge and adherence to company SOPs and local laws and regulations including pharmaceutical industry code of conduct.

The Position

Boehringer Ingelheim is hiring a Senior Regional Medical Manager (Sr. RMM), based in Izmir, Türkiye, reporting to the Medical Affairs Manager. The Sr. Regional Medical Manager is responsible for the implementation of medical goals and tactics in the territory within scope. The job holder provides medical knowledge and scientific information to healthcare professionals and experts. Through this collaboration, generates insights and understanding of the healthcare landscape, health systems, patient journey and care pathways which further support scientific objectives and strategic decision making. The Sr. RMM will be responsible for building scientific relationships with key opinion leaders in the field of specialty and rare diseases.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Build and maintain medical/scientific expertise for the respective product and therapeutic area
• Management and dissemination of scientific knowledge for external and internal stakeholders

• Facilitate advisory boards and conduct round‑table discussions and peer‑to‑peer communication
• Provide medical training and updates for the assigned therapy area to the internal field force and brand team, as required
• Knowledge and adherence to company SOPs and local laws and regulations including pharmaceutical industry code of conduct

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medicine/MD
• 3 years’ experience in a Pharmaceutical company; 2+ years’ experience in the Medical function
• Experience in Cardio Renal Metabolic disease area is preferred
• Possesses a deep understanding and knowledge of scientific and clinical information
• Has knowledge of local healthcare systems and clinical practices related to patient care is preferred
• Strong English language capabilities
