Job summary

RINA is recruiting a Senior Railway System Assurance Engineer for its Istanbul office, with a future on-site assignment in Romania during advanced phases of a major international metro project. You will lead system assurance across RAMS, safety analyses, and integration of signaling, traction, and telecom subsystems, ensuring compliance and high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience in railway systems engineering across lifecycle phases.
• Advanced expertise in rolling stock, signaling, power supply, or infrastructure domains.
• Strong knowledge of CENELEC standards (EN 50126/28/29) and RAMS processes.
• Experience with RAMS tools such as DOORS, ReliaSoft, FMECA/FTA, MATLAB/Simulink.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate RAMS and System Assurance activities across project phases.
• Lead safety risk assessments and maintain hazard logs and safety plans.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and authorities on system and safety matters.
• Lead system-level requirements, architecture, and interfaces across subsystems.
• Coordinate integration of signaling, rolling stock, power, and telecom.
• Monitor performance, RAMS, energy efficiency, and maintenance implications.
• Define and manage V&V strategy, review plans and results, lead FAT/SAT.
• Oversee configuration, obsolescence, and lifecycle cost improvements.
