Job summary

ideasoft, a technology company based in Istanbul, seeks a skilled Software Developer to strengthen its backend team at the Dudullu-Ümraniye Büdotek office. The role requires a proven track record in challenging, fast-paced environments and a passion for delivering quality software.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in software engineering, 5+ years in software development, and extensive PHP framework experience (Symfony, Laravel, Phalcon).

Qualifications

• BS degree in Software/Computer Engineering or significant relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience, including senior roles.
• 3+ years in one or more modern PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Phalcon).
• Experience with scalable and distributed SaaS systems.
• Strong understanding of OOP concepts and software design patterns.
• Strong PHP programming expertise and memory management know-how.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle and NoSQL systems.
• Experience with Kafka/RabbitMQ and agile development environments.
• Experience with Git and UNIX/Linux environments.
• Analytical mindset and excellent communication/collaboration skills.
• No military obligation for male candidates.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and development phase of software production.
• Perform code reviews to maintain high standards for backend development.
• Prepare relevant unit tests for test scenarios of applications.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• BS degree in Software/Computer Engineering or significant relevant experience.


• Proven track record of a minimum 5 years experience of software development, including senior experience


• 3+ years experience in one or more modern PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Phalcon etc.)


• Experience with scalable and distributed SaaS systems


• Solid understanding of OOP concepts and software design patterns.


• Strong PHP programming expertise.


• Experience with multi-threading and memory management.


• Solid RDBMS knowledge like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.


• Experience NoSQL databases like MongoDB, Redis, CouchBase etc.


• Experience with message queues like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.


• Experience working in an agile development environment.


• Experience version control systems like Git etc.


• Comfort with UNIX/Linux environments.


• An analytical mind to grasp concepts and solve problems quickly.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns like Modular Monolith, Microservice, SOA, Event-driven and CQRS
