Job summary

Arup Istanbul is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building services design across a range of prestigious projects, focusing on HVAC, energy modelling and sustainable design.

You will collaborate with architects and clients, coordinate between disciplines, and oversee energy analyses using HAP, IES, eQUEST and EnergyPlus to deliver high-quality, time-sensitive documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in mechanical engineering from reputable universities.
• English proficiency in written and spoken.
• At least 10 years of experience in HVAC design and energy modelling.
• Experience coordinating between mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• CFD experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Deliver building services design documents to clients on time and to high quality.
• Perform energy analyses using HAP, IES, eQUEST, and EnergyPlus.
• Coordinate with architects and other disciplines.
• Lead interdisciplinary coordination and supervise document production.
• Support project teams across Türkiye and international projects.

Join our team to design innovative and sustainable mechanical building services (HVAC, public health, and firefighting) for diverse projects. Collaborate with leading architects, ensure seamless coordination, and deliver high-quality solutions using advanced energy analysis and simulation tools.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineerat Arup, you will:

Involving in building services (mechanical) design activities (HVAC, public health, and firefighting) for a broad range of building/project types. The group works with several high-profile architects on a variety projects,

Working with architects and good communication with clients. Providing interdisciplinary coordination and supervising document production,

Responsible for the delivery of the building services design documents to the client, within time and to the highest quality,

Performing energy analyses using advanced spreadsheets and building simulation software such as HAP, IES, eQUEST, and EnergyPlus is required.

Completion of a Bachelor\'s and/or Master\'s degree in mechanical engineering from reputable universities,

Excellent command in English both written and spoken and experience on design to local and major international codes,

At least 10 years of experience in HVAC design, building energy modelling, and sustainable building design,

Able to coordinate between mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural disciplines,

Demonstrate high standards of accuracy, be proficient at working to tight deadlines and under pressure and be able to prioritize tasks delegated by other team members,

Having CFD experiences will be an advantage.
