Qualifications

• 5–10 years of technical experience within marine engineering or related industries.
• Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Practical experience in engine maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and mechanical overhauls.
• Good command of English and a safety‑first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting on marine engines and propulsion systems.
• Lead on-site activities and supervise Wärtsilä personnel and subcontractors.
• Execute engine start-ups, commissioning assignments, sea trials, and equipment testing.
• Identify technical issues, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted technical expert on site.
• Ensure work complies with Wärtsilä quality, safety, and environmental standards.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate progress to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing lessons learned.
