Job summary

Gizli is seeking a seasoned Tax Director to lead all tax activities, ensure compliance with Turkish tax laws, and drive risk management for a multinational organization.

You will oversee tax filings, audits, planning initiatives, and collaborate with accounting and finance, acting as the primary contact with group companies and external advisors, while mentoring the tax team and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of taxation experience.
• Multinational/global organization experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Turkish tax legislation and compliance.
• Experience with corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, stamp tax.
• Experience managing tax audits/inspections and incentive tax processes.
• Fluent English for international communications.
• CPA (SMMM) qualification preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all tax-related activities and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Coordinate tax return filings and ensure statutory obligations are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across the organization.
• Lead and manage tax audits, inspections, and interactions with tax authorities.
• Support tax planning initiatives and contribute to tax optimization strategies.
• Collaborate with accounting, finance, and other functions to assess tax implications of activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for tax matters with group companies and external advisors.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and implement timely updates within the organization.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the tax team while driving continuous improvement.
