Job summary

Carbon Health Ankara is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate backend services and frontend applications across the stack. You will work on JVM-based services, modern React/Next.js frontends, and AWS-backed infrastructure in a healthcare technology environment.

The role emphasizes reliability, pragmatic decision-making, and collaboration with product and design teams to deliver features end-to-end. Strong English communication is required.

Qualifications

• Strong professional experience as a full-stack software engineer.
• Backend experience with the JVM ecosystem (Java/Kotlin/Scala).
• Production-grade APIs with REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
• Frontend experience with React and Next.js.
• Experience with React Native (Expo) and AWS.
• Basic Terraform / IaC practices.
• Observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset.
• Professional English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services with JVM languages.
• Build and evolve APIs using REST, gRPC, GraphQL, and Apollo integrations.
• Develop frontend apps with React, Next.js, and React Native (Expo).
• Implement real-time features with WebSockets and event-driven systems.
• Contribute to cloud infra and deployment practices on AWS.
• Use Terraform and IaC for provisioning and management.
• Improve observability with Grafana and Prometheus.
• Write maintainable, tested code and participate in design discussions.
• Leverage AI to enhance development workflows and tooling.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to ship features on time.
