Mode.Inc is seeking a Sr. Frontend Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of user-facing features across web and mobile experiences. You will own core user flows, build clean components, and deliver fast, intuitive experiences at scale.

This hands-on, high-impact role requires collaboration with backend, product, and design teams to ship capabilities quickly, with a focus on performance and quality in a remote, global environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years frontend engineering experience
• Expert-level proficiency in React Native + TypeScript
• Production experience with React Native or ReactJS (mobile required)
• Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals and patterns
• Experience integrating UI with REST APIs and real-time features
• Familiarity with mobile UI patterns on Android/iOS (React Native)
• Experience optimizing performance and accessibility
• Experience with visual debugging and analytics tools

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable frontend features powering core user experiences and workflows
• Build scalable, reusable UI components and design systems
• Implement responsive layouts and accessibility across devices
• Optimize rendering performance, page speed, and code delivery
• Monitor frontend performance, error tracking, and user metrics
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate REST APIs and real-time features
• Work in 2‑week sprints with CI/CD and code reviews
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, tooling, and build pipelines
• Maintain high standards of code quality, documentation, and testing
