Job summary

EDGE Microwave is seeking a Senior Digital Design Engineer to lead the design and verification of high‑speed digital blocks for RF and microwave systems. You will own FPGA‑based architectures, implement DSP algorithms in VHDL/Verilog, and collaborate with system, RF, analog, and software teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in digital design, strong problem solving, excellent English communication, and hands‑on experience with AMD/Xilinx platforms.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in EEE, Communications, or equivalent with focus on digital design.
• 5+ years in digital design, FPGA-based high-speed systems.
• Strong DSP, analytical modelling, and related tech.
• Proficiency in VHDL/Verilog with synthesis and implementation.
• Experience with FPGA architectures and high-speed design.
• Experience in mixed-signal design and data converters.
• Understanding of RF/analog/mixed-signal concepts and modulation.
• Familiarity with high-frequency RF/microwave architectures.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms is a plus.
• Experience in avionics/space or high-reliability projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and technical decision-making.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, synthesize, integrate, test FPGA-based digital blocks.
• Develop DSP algorithms and control logic in VHDL/Verilog.
• Translate system requirements into feasible digital designs.
• Collaborate with system architects, RF, analog, and software engineers.
• Analyze architectures, evaluate design trade-offs under constraints.
• Create models, simulations, and prototypes for validation.
• Participate in hardware/software and subsystem integration, troubleshoot.
• Identify risks and propose effective mitigation throughout lifecycle.
• Prepare design specifications, test procedures, and verification results.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to teams and management.
• Identify opportunities for design optimization and cost reduction.
