Job summary

AEES INC is seeking a Fixed Assets Sr Accountant to work with Finance, Operations, Plant Teams, CWIP contacts, and Motherson leadership to ensure accurate asset records, strong financial controls, and timely reporting.

The role involves leading cross-functional teams, validating asset purchases, capitalizations, asset transfers, and audits, and maintaining the Fixed Assets Subledger with ongoing process improvements and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or Fixed Assets positions.
• Prior experience in fixed asset accounting, CAPEX tracking, or general ledger accounting.
• Internal collaborator: at least 1 year in current position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach cross-functional teams to ensure Fixed Assets are properly safeguarded and accounted for.
• Ensure asset purchase orders have budget alignment and proper classification with documentation.
• Evaluate asset additions to determine capitalization vs. expense.
• Coordinate asset transfers and maintain asset location and ownership records.
• Maintain documentation for audit support and internal controls.
• Record additions, depreciation, transfers and disposals in the Fixed Assets Subledger.
• Lead annual physical inventory of fixed assets at all plant locations.
• Ensure compliance with PKC Group's EH&S and EMASS procedures.
