Job summary

Gizli in Turkey is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join our finance team. You will manage daily accounting, month-end and year-end closings, and maintain GL accuracy in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field, 6+ years in General Ledger or corporate accounting, SAP FI experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong English proficiency to collaborate across functions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of General Ledger or corporate accounting experience.
• Hands-on SAP FI experience and strong month-end knowledge.
• Advanced MS Excel and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting activities following policy and GAAP.
• Manage month-end and year-end closings accurately and on time.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of General Ledger accounts.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure exact financial records.
• Monitor transactions and ensure internal controls compliance.
• Support audits with required documentation.
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to streamline processes.
• Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence.
• Participate in SAP FI-related accounting activities and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting activities in accordance with company policies and accounting principles
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes accurately and on time
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of General Ledger accounts
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate financial records
• Monitor accounting transactions and ensure compliance with internal controls
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation
• Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient accounting processes
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational excellence
• Participate in SAP FI-related accounting activities and support system enhancements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 6 years of experience in General Ledger or Corporate Accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and month-end closing processes
• Hands-on experience with SAP FI
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Advanced level of English, both written and spoken
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multinational environment
• Experience in multinational companies is considered a strong advantage
• CPA (SMMM) certification is a plus.
