Job summary

Gini Talent Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join a fintech client in Istanbul. You will develop and maintain embedded software in C++, using Embedded Linux/Unix and RTOS, interfacing with hardware and communication protocols.

You will collaborate with Backend, QA/Test, EMV, and Product teams, perform debugging and optimization, and ensure reliable, secure payment technology solutions. Proficiency in English is required.

At Gini Talent, we are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join one of our clients operating in the payment technologies sector.

We are seeking a skilled engineer with strong expertise in C++, Embedded Linux/Unix, RTOS, and embedded software development to contribute to the development of reliable, secure, and high-performance payment technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, test, and maintain embedded software applications primarily using C++.
• Work with Embedded Linux/Unix and RTOS-based systems, device interfaces, and communication protocols.
• Develop software solutions based on existing technical designs, system architecture, and specifications.
• Collaborate with Backend, QA/Test, EMV, Product, and other engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot software, system integration, performance, and communication issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement effective technical solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure clean, maintainable, reliable, and well-tested code.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation related to software components and interfaces.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on programming experience in C++.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software engineering principles.
• Professional experience in embedded software development.
• Hands-on experience with Embedded Linux/Unix and/or RTOS-based systems.
• Good understanding of communication protocols, device interfaces, and software integration.
• Experience debugging and troubleshooting embedded software and system-level integration issues.
• Ability to understand and work with software architecture, technical designs, and specifications.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and ownership skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

• Candidates with hands-on experience in EMV standards, EMV-related software development, or payment terminal technologies will be given priority.
• Experience with Qt framework.
• Knowledge of cryptography and secure transaction processing.
