Job summary

Yıldış Tech in Istanbul is seeking a Data Scientist/Senior Data Scientist (Applied AI) to develop, evaluate, and deploy data-driven AI solutions across our digital ecosystem.

You will work on large datasets, leverage ML/AI techniques including NLP and personalization, and collaborate with multiple teams to translate business problems into scalable models and actionable insights.

Strong communications and hands-on production experience are required to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and improve machine learning and applied AI solutions for business use cases.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to generate actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
• Prepare, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data for analysis and modeling.
• Apply data wrangling techniques to handle missing values, outliers, and inconsistencies.
• Design and evaluate predictive and analytical solutions for business challenges such as forecasting, customer analytics, recommendation, and personalization.
• Create clear visualizations, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problem statements, success metrics, and solution approaches.
• Contribute to the deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of machine learning and AI solutions in production environments.
• Explore and evaluate modern AI approaches, including Large Language Models (LLMs) and agentic AI solutions, where they can create measurable business value.
• Work with techniques such as prompt engineering, embedding-based workflows, retrieval pipelines, and model evaluation.
• Document methodologies, experiments, technical decisions, and outcomes in a clear, reusable, and structured way.
• Stay current with developments in data science, machine learning, and applied AI, and contribute ideas that improve technical quality and delivery standards.
