Job summary

Lufian is expanding its team of talented professionals and is seeking a Senior Buying Manager to lead sourcing for womenswear. You will manage collection development, supplier relationships, and end-to-end production, ensuring timely delivery and quality across woven, knitted, and outerwear lines.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in similar roles, strong English, and a proactive, organized mindset with a global travel readiness mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Textile Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in a similar buying/sourcing role.
• Experience in womenswear with woven, knitted, and outerwear product groups.
• Experience in sourcing rather than manufacturing with strong process management.
• Strong follow-up, detail orientation, and coordination abilities.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Team player with strong communication and proactive mindset.
• Strong knowledge of product costing processes.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
• Solid understanding of collection development processes and international production/sourcing, especially in Egypt.
• Willingness for international travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely sourcing of products with expected quality by managing collection, order, and production processes.
• Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities for new products.
• Take an active role in collection development, conduct product reviews, and oversee all production stages.
• Create collections aligned with target customer segments, profitability goals, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure collections are sourced within planned timelines.
• Analyze customer-sensitive pricing structures while ensuring target profitability margins.
• Contribute to product development by following fashion trends and guiding design teams.
