Job summary

AppNation seeks a Senior Android Developer to build and scale world-class mobile experiences across AI-powered apps. You’ll own native Android work from architecture decisions to production releases, tackling performance and reliability challenges in a fast-moving team.

You’ll collaborate with designers, data scientists, and Flutter developers to deliver high-quality Android experiences while shaping technical standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Android development with production apps.
• Proficient in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, with strong architecture knowledge.
• Experience with Gradle, CI/CD, app signing, and Google Play release.
• Familiar with cross-platform work with Flutter or willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Own native Android layer in Flutter apps, including architecture and integrations.
• Develop widgets, notifications, FCM, and Play Billing integrations.
• Apply AI capabilities to native code using ML Kit and on-device models.
• Design maintainable Android architectures and ensure cross-platform boundaries.
• Debug production issues, optimize startup time and memory usage.
• Mentor Flutter developers to become proficient on Android.
• Monitor platform updates and adapt proposals.
